Rent Always Comes Due On The 1st

Another day of snow. Zzzzz.

The good thing is it will be a balmy 30 degrees later in the day if the sun comes out.

Shockingly, there is no two-hour delay or school closing, so the roads will need to be plowed soon so the kids can get to their glorified daycares and parents who have to be at work no matter what the weather will not need to miss yet another day's pay.

We had a big enough storm a few weeks ago that even some gig workers such as myself had a "snow day". It was a relief not to drag my arthritic body there after shoveling my car out for the third time.

It did a number on my budget this month, however. Hourly employees don't get "weather related" compensation the way taxpayer funded hacks do.

I am gradually making up the time, but it is always a challenge in a short month. The rent comes due March 1st regardless of how many days we have in February to earn.

I thought the economy was lousy when Obama and Biden were in office, but it is pretty rough right now for those of us without savings and investments and pensions to live on.

In spite of what the boob tube says, the economy is nothing to be proud of. Not when you have homeless people waiting for the gas station to open up at 5:30 in the morning so they can use the toilet instead of pooping in a snowbank.

The economy is nothing to be proud of when citizens with full-time jobs (or retirees with only social security income) are losing their homes because of exorbitant taxes, utilities, and medical bills.

Young married couples are deferring having kids because they are "too expensive" and some aren't even able to purchase a "starter home" because a "starter home" is over $300K.

If they have, by some miracle, gotten on the property ladder, they will both need to work full-time forever in order to pay the mortgage and taxes and whatever nonsense green energy fees have been tacked on to their electric bills.

Every day will be March 1st pretty soon if the affluent Boomers in charge and their sheeple voters don't wake up from their food, drug, and media induced stupor.
