Paid my taxes this week.
Mailed the check, I should say, dated April 1st.
We’ll see how long it takes the Infernal Rip-off Service to cash it so Joe can use it to buy blow for his son and the President of Ukraine or to blow up some more stuff in the Middle East.
I don’t know how many drugs or bomb parts can be procured with $1600 and change, but it is a lot of money for someone like me.
I made the mistake of working more than I expected in 2023 and now I need to pay an extra $1500 for my crummy “health” insurance, plus penalty, for underestimating my income.
What Obamacare didn’t pfuck up, the Covid response sure did.
O’Biden and friends have already deducted from my wages what someone who never worked a real job thinks should be stolen each year from those of us who aren’t members of the club.
I doubt I will ever see a “refund” again in my lifetime.
At least I don’t have to pay state income tax (theft) ever again. I refuse to live or work in a state that gouges the peasants to fund the pensions of professional politicians and other government grifters who can “work” remotely (or not at all) and still get paid.
Can’t do anything about Federal theft, yet.
My “health” insurance premium is now close to $300 a month with a deductible of $6,300. So much for that raise!
Pfuck the members of the ruling/laptop class who are telling everyone the economy is much better than it was four years ago. Sure, if you are still collaborating, it is.
